It’s a fact that our economy benefits when we limit government spending.

That’s why, as your State Senator, I’ve always voted to balance the state budget and have urged Congress to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

This year, I was proud to be a part of passing one of the most conservative budgets in state history.

According to the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, the per capita spending in this year’s budget is nearly identical to what we spent back in 1998 – and well below peak state government spending of the early 2000s.

We’re continuing to streamline state government and cut wasteful spending, all while keeping taxes low on our hardworking families and job creators.

While there’s still more to do, I’m proud of the hard work we’ve done to promote fiscally conservative solutions for Georgia.
