The Fight for Life Isn’t Over
As your State Senator, I’ve never been afraid to fight for the unborn. That’s why I supported Senate Bill 308 – the key legislative priority for the Georgia Life Alliance – creating a grant program to provide funds for nonprofit pregnancy resource centers that prevent abortions and assist in new adoptions.
Although sending this bill to Governor Deal’s desk is a major victory, I know that our fight is not over. We must do more to protect the unborn.
To do that, we need to ensure our current laws, like women’s right to know are enforced, as well as provide proper care for children in foster programs, and help support women that choose to go through a pregnancy but give their child up adoption, all while making sure that no state funds are used for abortion or abortion counseling.
As I’m sure you would agree, these changes aren’t going to happen in Washington, D.C. which is why it’s so important that we fight this battle here in Georgia.
It’s up to us to fight and pass legislation like SB308 to protect the innocent. And one thing I’ve learned, Georgia never backs away from a fight.
